01

What is the Happy Camper facility like?

Our facility is staffed 24 hours a day so your pets are never left unattended. We have indoor kennels and luxury suites. Every part of the building is equipped with air conditioning as well as heat and smoke detectors. We are in a building located away from the main roads and have a secluded cul-de-sac for walks.

Please call today to schedule a tour of our facility. Bring your family if you'd like, but leave fido at home for the tour.

02

What should I bring from home?

Food/snacks/treats, enough for the ENTIRE duration. If your pet runs out of food during his/her stay we will provide two free meals, then you will be charged .50 cents per additional meal needed to complete stay.

A favorite toy

NO rawhide, bully sticks, or anything that could be a choking hazard for your pet.

Bedding, blanket or something for them to sleep on. We provide blankets/bedding if you forget to bring yours from home

Any medications your pet will need during their stay. If your dog is taking medications with different dosing directions than what is on the label please include instructions with current dosing directions. Be specific!!

We use peanut butter to help make medicating dogs a little easier. If your dog has food allergies please alert us at time of check in. You may also provide your own pill-pockets or treats to help with medicating.

03

What is required?

Please have all of your pet(s) possessions labeled clearly with his/her name. Make sure your pet has his/her name printed on an ID tag or printed on his/her collar.

VACCINATIONS: All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. Upon enrollment owners must provide proof of distemper, kennel cough, and rabies vaccinations. Puppies must have at least one series of vaccines before enrollment.

HEALTH: Owners must certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 15 days. Any dogs who have been ill within the last 15 days will require veterinarian certification of restored health prior to admission (or readmission). If a dog is found to have an intestinal parasite they will not be allowed back to daycamp or to board until they have been treated and have had a follow up fecal that is negative. For most parasites the follow up fecal is done 3 weeks after treatment. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask our staff.

We are unable to accommodate dogs with stitches/bandages or if they are in heat.

Please make us aware of any special needs your dog may have when you make your reservation.

04

Should I bring the food we use at home?

Yes! if your pet has any food allergies, or has a special diet it is EXTREMELY important that you bring your pet's food from home. We encourage you to bring extra food as well, in case your pet’s stay is extended. Any food you supply that we do not use will be returned to you at check-out. If we run out of your pet's food during their stay, Happy Camper Pet Lodge can feed our communal pet food for an additional charge, to help recoup our costs. We keep a variety of dry and canned foods on hand. If you would like us to use our food, at time of check-in, please let the receptionist know of your dog or cat's current diet, and we will match it as closely as possible.

05

What is included in the basic boarding fee?

Dogs – included at no extra charge four daily potty breaks (approximately 1 hour each break) in our outside runs, feeding up to three times a day if you have supplied your dog’s own food (otherwise a nominal charge applies), medicating if necessary, twice a day treats, a raised bed with cozy blankets and clean, fresh water at all times.

06

Where do you exercise the dogs when it's raining?

For our dogs that don't mind the rain, our staff bundles up and heads outside with your pup. For the pooch – or owner – who doesn’t see it that way, Happy Camper Pet Lodge has an indoor play area for ball playing, tug-a-war, and all kinds of activities.

07

Will my dog be with other dogs?
This depends on you, and on your dogs behavior. If you request that your dogs go out alone, then your dogs will be alone. If you request that your dogs interact with other dogs then we will make an effort to meet this request. Daycamp is social time for dogs. We get to know your dogs and place them in packs that are suited to their level of play and energy. For our dogs who are boarding, typically, they will go out for their potty breaks alone, or with their housemates. If your dogs show aggression towards another pet they will no longer be allowed to be placed in packs.
